Frequently Asked Questions
I want to ask my partner something that wasn't included in the sign-up information.
Post the question in the Facebook group and hope your recipient responds. Or email the admins (firstname.lastname@example.org) and we can ask privately on your behalf.
I'm running out of ideas on what to use for a certain day. Help!
This is the 5th year we've done the 12 Days of Christmas Swap and many of our participants join every year. Post your dilemma to the Facebook group and see what the members suggest. You may also consider scrolling through the older posts to see what members have done in the past. You MAY even see some ideas posted by your recipient.
Does my homemade item have to be quilt related?
Nope! In the past, homemade items have included sets of place mats, jellies and jams, baked goods, and a set of beaded styluses. If you have made it, then it is homemade. Just keep in mind that the handmade gift is the last one to be opened and certain foods may spoil by the time it is opened.
Can I use items from my stash as gifts?
Yes! It's a great opportunity to pass on goodies that may not get used by you. Anything you want to be passed on should be in like-new condition. For example, a magazine you've looked through once or twice is great; a magazine you've read, written in, ripped out pages, or dog-eared the corners is not an ideal candidate for gifting.
Can I invite my friends to join?
Absolutely! Have them fill out the sign-up form and add themselves to the Facebook group. Make sure they point you out as their referral source.
